Can anyone explain this, what seems to be, an optical Illusion?

O.K. open your eyes and then look around, and picture all the people, including yourself, all the plants, all the other animals and things that creep, then the entire planet, then look up in the sky and see the stars and other planets, comets, asteroids, etc. Now, stare at them for at least 20 seconds, then close your eyes, and it will appear as though they are all one.
