Natural way to help bronchitis or asthma?

atleast once a year since I was probably about 7 I have gotten "bronchitis" at least once a year it's gotten to the point that my doctor thinks it might be asthma. I am sick of going to the doctor because he's only ever given me a prescription for one inhaler a couple years ago. Is there a natural / home remedy for either of these?
