Is this marriage doomed to fail? What can I do to preserve it?

This doesn't sound like a very strong relationship between the two of you. It seems like you two aren't very close like you used to be. To me the outcome doesn't sound very good, but if you work at building each other's trust maybe you could make it work again. Hope all goes well.
