Is there any evidence that older musicians suffer a lower incidence of Dementia/Alzheimer's?

There is considerable evidence that aging Bridge ( and chess) players suffer a lower rate of Alzheimer's and Dementia than the general population As music can be similarly challenging on a mental level is there any statistical evidence suggesting that musicians are less likely to develop age-related degenerative brain conditions?
