Can we bring guns to school in an effort to stop school shootings?

Should some students be authorized in secret to carry concealed weapons in schools to neutralize any threats? I.E. Kill anybody who wants to cause death or serious bodily harm to innocent people. And if someone brings a gun to school for their own protection should they be charged with a crime if they use it to kill somebody who is attempting to harm the innocent?
